The Grid…. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What did they look like? Ships, motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I’d never see. And then, one day….I got in.

Just because you’re a moron that’s no reason to lash out, LMAO.

Why don’t you read up a bit more on original conversation, you’ll sound a little less like an idiot. You have plenty of security measures on your phone to keep people out, that’s not what this feature does. The wording specifically states “coercion”. Do you know a lot of normal people, other than drug dealers and mobsters, that would ever come across a scenario like that?

If you do, I suggest you take a good look at your life, as your device is obviously the least of your problems. 🤣

As far as the rest of your rant, your device is no different than your car or house, if there is probable cause, they don’t need your permission. If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about. However, wiping your device is certainly not going to make them happy and I wouldn’t be surprised if another charge was tacked on to whatever they were originally there for.

Maybe in your country or state, cops just randomly frisk people or try to access their devices, but that doesn’t happen here.

nevermind, #nostr devs, just switched to a better app.

Asking #nostr devs, for the love of god, if you mute someone, can you remove the interaction entirely from the feed? Seeing “muted note” throughout your feed, looks like shit and feels lazy.

I don’t need to be reminded of how many assholes are on here, I would rather be reminded of everyone else. 😁

Good luck, you and the other asshat are about to be muted. You’re boring me, see ya…

Deactivated what, your tinder account? 😂

So, in lieu of an actual rebuttal, you send a meme. You must be a zoomer. 🤣

All the memes in the world aren’t going to change anything I said. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was actually talking about the sustainability of the fediverse. Without having to create ways to bring in revenue, a lot of instances are not going to last and it will only get worse, the more people join. The more people join, the more resources are needed to handle it. More resources equals more money needed. At least if a relay goes down, you have several other relays still running to fill the gap.

Well, if law enforcement needs access and you wipe it, you just caught yourself another charge, LMAO. Also, I don’t think cops will actually try and “coerce you” into entering your code, especially when they don’t have to.

This reads like fear mongering and describes situations only drug dealers and mob members would possibly find themselves in. And if that’s the case and you wipe your device, there’s no reason for them to keep you alive anymore. Didn’t think this one through very well.😂

Any way you slice it, this is a feature no one will ever need, like most features of graphene, if I’m being honest. Just another feature meant to prop up this idea that it’s the most secure OS on the market, which is obviously false.

So, I just learned that grapheneOS added an “under duress” safety mechanism. My first question would be, what kind of people are using grapheneOS that they would need such a feature?🤔😱

Basically, if you’re under duress to unlock your device, entering this code will actually wipe your device.

Surely I can’t be the only one who sees the major issue with this. What say you, #nostr? #asknostr

So, what do you think will happen to you when the people trying to access your device, find out you just permanently wiped it?

Also, if they are trying to force your password, then that means they can’t access your device through traditional means, which means your device is already safe. Wiping just gives them one less reason to keep you alive. 🤦🏻‍♂️
