Yes, religion poisons everything.
I once did, but after I felt like I had some brain condition, like an aneurysm or a stroke. Dazed and confused. No words to explain the experience. No Youtube critic can communicate the experience. It is truly an ineffable.
Red Letter Media on Youtube love Neil Breen's stuff.
#metal @ https://libera.chat/ if you know how to use IRC.
Oh, I just don't have ideas. Well, ideas I do have, but you also must have the ability to flesh out a story around those ideas.
I love scifi/fa book covers. #wizardposting is the best thing we have in the 2020s. You know I love Roger Dean stuff.
Love it all, but each for different reasons.
Corwin's Saga (books 1-5) is lovely. I love it mostly for the way the author describes scenery "Walking Shadow", or various spiritual journeys. It feels like he knows something about the kind of High Weird spiritual practices like meditation practice and, let's face it (it was the 1970s!) - psychedelics, show. The plot itself is not that interesting, but it kept my attention. The conversations were a bit weird, as in that no one had their own way of speaking. Not sure I can describe it. A bit like how all bible characters speak in the same way.
The second (last) series (books 6-10) feels more like real people talking, and there is more plot, but less spiritual and Shadow Walking descriptions.
Lovely! What books have you read recently? I am about to finish Chronicles of Amber by Zelazny.
