The full URL of your community includes your npub as the owner/admin. If someone else starts a podcasting community the URL will include their npub. So it will never be the same URL. If you navigate to https://satellite.earth/podcasting it will display a list of all the communities called “podcasting” that are owned by different people. If Satellite detects that you’re subscribed to one of the communities already, you’ll automatically be redirected there
*sorry I meant https://satellite.earth/n/podcasting 🤦‍♂️
Hi Stuart! I just started n/podcasting ---- Are you saying that other people could use the same URL (https://satellite.earth/n/podcasting/) for a different group discussing podcasting? Thx

Sure, I think it would make the most sense to just make a pull request into NIP-172. If you link the pull to me I’ll review it and leave my comments
Hi nostr:npub1lunaq893u4hmtpvqxpk8hfmtkqmm7ggutdtnc4hyuux2skr4ttcqr827lj is satellite still using 4549 as default kind for community messages?
I got a GitHub issue saying NIP doesn't talk about this 4549 kind.
https://github.com/vivganes/zapddit/issues/52
Not sure how to resolve this.

Actually I haven’t implemented it yet. I plan to make type 1 default, but with a checkbox on the new post editor like “hide this post from profile feed” to make 4549 optional
With this update, If you open NostrNet.work on multiple devices and click on the share button, you can seamlessly transfer files between your devices without any extra steps.
You just need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi.
It can now also take backups in the background while you are using other apps. Complete auto backup soon 🤙

Awesome work man
Wow, amazing how well this can transcribe audio, even when I'm talking really fast and mumbling.. would be hella cool to have real time verbal conversations with my IDE
On Satellite you can make **bold** and *italic* text using markdown — for the posts with pictures displaying as previews, by design Satellite does not automatically render the photo full-width unless you follow the person
haha
> If you acquire followers on one nostr client, does that transfer to other clients?
Yes, that's the beauty of nostr. Everything is interoperable
> Satellite does not have a log out option.
It does, actually, it's just kind of hard to find — if you open the menu in the sidebar near the bottom you'll see a "Disconnect Nostr" button to log you out.
One of my favorite clients. nostr:npub1lunaq893u4hmtpvqxpk8hfmtkqmm7ggutdtnc4hyuux2skr4ttcqr827lj is an absolute beast 🙌
Aww shucks, that means a lot coming from you man!
Whoa I love that idea
Linux mint is a solid choice if you don't mind a few proprietary drivers
Need to get Banksy on nostr
Hey there, are you on Satellite? (I'm the developer) In nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc 's post, "Faces" is the post title (using the NIP-14 "subject" tag under the hood). If some other client is interpreting that as a hashtag I'm not aware of it
Japan tickets booked 🎉
Working on this now
Glad it's working for you! I feel like the current implementation is actually somewhat primitive — much more to come in this week's update!
Hey Stuart, sure.
This is the link generated from the original .mp4

I worked around it by uploading the video to Twitter first then downloaded it again from Twitter to upload it to Satellite and that worked as .mp4. As you can see it's much smaller after Twitter's reencoding and Satellite didn't change it to .3gp
