Yeah I need to make it auto refresh to show that the credit was updated. Thanks
Glad to hear that. Blame nostr:npub1lunaq893u4hmtpvqxpk8hfmtkqmm7ggutdtnc4hyuux2skr4ttcqr827lj for the satellite problem. Heās evil
Hey!
So totally working now? What was the issue? If it's a bug I want to know about it!
Dude same! and thanks nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft for making the connection nostr:note1yyxd9x93all56d52776m3qhzcpqewpwvgkwm4vltdx2q6c9exqws7fs3v4

Keep up with the whisky and cigarettes brother. Itās working great. š
Haha yes š¤£
I'm sad that Satellite CDN is not putting file extensions in its URLs anymore. Now they don't work anymore in many clients. Why this change nostr:npub1lunaq893u4hmtpvqxpk8hfmtkqmm7ggutdtnc4hyuux2skr4ttcqr827lj?
I recently updated some stuff to be compatible with the blossom spec - there are now two endpoints, cdn.satellite.earth and blob.satellite.earth. Unless there is some kind of bug, I believe the cdn endpoint still works and should still contain the file extension as it did before. The only thing that has been changed is that the cdn endpoint 301 redirects to the blob endpoint (which does not contain extension). So if you use the blob endpoint directly it will cause a problem in some clients, but if you continue to use the cdn endpoint as before it should still work
nostr:npub18lzls4f6h46n43revlzvg6x06z8geww7uudhncfdttdtypduqnfsagugm3 and nostr:npub1lunaq893u4hmtpvqxpk8hfmtkqmm7ggutdtnc4hyuux2skr4ttcqr827lj touch privacy and radical honesty but I think they missed a crucial point - radical honesty requires anonymity and privacy. They are not the opposite sides of one coin - one requires the other, at least in this stage of human society.
One could argue that assassination markets, or their product - assassination politics is the purest expression of radical honesty.

> radical honesty requires anonymity and privacy
In a political context, yes. When dealing with strangers, security is a precondition for honesty. Maybe it's a bit more complex when considering the interpersonal or even "intra-personal" dimension.

A way to move media, not just metadata.
It's actually not a bad idea haha
The super funny thing is that old Satellite made it onto your list of previously attempted decentralized protocols (this is a picture I took of the slide during talk at nostrica). If you zoom in you can see 'satelite'. The lore of nostr goes deep š¤£

Turned out to be a very good decision
nostr:npub1lunaq893u4hmtpvqxpk8hfmtkqmm7ggutdtnc4hyuux2skr4ttcqr827lj what about #nostr made you wanna switch to an entirely different protocol?
What was the state of your product (how deep were you) before you switched?
Do you have any sacrifices or setbacks to your product as a result?
The key thing was relays. Standardizing the transport layer to something simple and dumb. Digital signatures are the magic, transport just has to work.
The main thing about the old version of Satellite that I gave up switching to nostr was deep integration of BitTorrent (which is why I have been trying to make that a thing in nostr this whole time haha)
It's interesting that nostr:nprofile1qy08wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wshsz8mhwden5te0dehhxarj94ex2mrp0yhxummtda6xzun09e3k7mf0qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskuep0qqswuyd9ml6qcxd92h6pleptfrcqucvvjy39vg4wx7mv9wm8kakyujgw3tmmj , nostr:nprofile1qyvhwumn8ghj76r0v3kxymmy9ehx7um5wgcjucm0d5hszxnhwden5te0wpuhyctdd9jzuenfv96x5ctx9e3k7mf0qqsf03c2gsmx5ef4c9zmxvlew04gdh7u94afnknp33qvv3c94kvwxgsq29me0 and nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qg3waehxw309ahx7um5wgh8w6twv5hszrnhwden5te0dehhxtnvdakz7qpqlunaq893u4hmtpvqxpk8hfmtkqmm7ggutdtnc4hyuux2skr4ttcqmkg28z were all working on their own decentralized/censorship-resistant apps before they decided to move to Nostr.
Yep. The āSatellite protocolā as I used to call it š¤£
