Not very windy today in the UK, but #wind still pissing all over #Nuclear and no toxic #pollution that the tax payer will have to pay for forever. Unusually 3% coal (normally 0%)

My #electricity from #Octopus is about as cheap as you will find during off peek in the UK its for #EV drivers only (GO / #Intelligent tariff), also the addition of #Octoplus introduces the possibility of free electricity sessions for when the grid has a surplus.

By updating the Bitmain #S19 110TH software, I have now gained Low Power mode (which previously didn't exist). 90.5TH for about 2,352kW ≈ 26 #JTH. My sound proof box was built to house a much smaller #Bitmain #T15 & struggles to cool the S19 on full power with the fans noisily hammering away at 5400 RPM. This now seem much happier on low power mode with the fans purring away at 2880 RMP occasionally going up to 4500 RPM.

From a #climate point of view it’s where does the #hydrogen come from. The vast majority will come from #methane steam reforming which ultimately creates as much #CO2 #pollution as regular #Kerosene . It’s just the #fossil fuel industry #greenwash

Turned the heater/ Bitcoin mine at 05:30 , thanks to warmer temperatures & insulation it’s still 21.5c in the house now at 22:30 . Might give it a mis tonight or we’ll boil in our sleep 🛌 💤
