Alright...phoenixd running on my ubuntu device locally....
Going to try and give it a front end using
https://github.com/AngusP/phoenixd-lnurl?tab=readme-ov-file
Wish me luck, cause this is my last attempt before giving up completely on #lightning ๐
I've been lurking on xmrbazaar for a bit now and I love the concept. My experience with early lightning marketplaces and shopstr were less than satisfying, however direct downloadable integration on this platform are pretty clean. Depending on how these tests go, I'll start using this more frequently.

Sounds like a fun mining project setup ๐
no, they shifted to non custodial and simply help with the backend liquidity and channel management. You can buy a million Sat liquidity channel for 20k seats and have your own node you can run on your 24/7 device. The issue I ran into was when trying to move sats in clumps larger than 50k, it wouldn't work and there doesn't seem to be a place to edit fee limits.
I'm going to give it one last shot with phoenixd once I get a dedicated Linux device setup next week. I honestly don't understand whether people who praise lightning are lying about how many failures they run into or if they simply just don't use it enough to run into any issues.
-Go to buy sats on #robosats
-I put in my aqua wallet invoice to receive sats/Robosats tells me "You dumb๐ฉ, provide us a real Ln invoice"
-I give it an invoice through alby/Robosats is appeased
-send fiat to designated address
-funds coming to my #lightning address are stuck.... for 4 hours
-Robosats sends sats eventually to the aqua address NOT alby
-confusion
yeah, I used phoenix almost exclusively. then when I decided to go phoneless, I wanted to setup a non custodial on my laptop. AlbyHub worked pretty well at first, but when trying to move around more than 50k sats, it became unusable.
PSA announcement, don't try to send your nonKYC Robosats trades to your AlbyHub wallet. It will fail, freeze, and pretend nothing happened. I have to ask if anyone has as many lightning failures as I do, cause y'all pretending that this tech is gReAt.
Me trying to keep my new years resolution to go phoneless. Not gonna lie y'all, between my wife's inability to give me adequate directions that got us lost twice already the last couple days (yes, she is even using google maps), or the fact that my kids require me to send them bitcoin at a moments notice when they find quarters on the ground... it ain't going too well.

The more I think about why I would have qualified for a perm ban from nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9, the more I think it had to do with WHO I was sending money to. I used strike to send people fiat in exchange for btc on robosats, just so happens that 90% of the time I bought sats on there, it was the same guy (sus). After this whole debauckle, I started using Cashapp but noticed that guy wasn't there anymore. I suspect that if my account was flagged in sending money to a "baddy", then strike would have taken legal precautions to stomp out potential liabilities.
I can't really think of anything else that I directly did that would warrant such a decisive decision (besides changing my strike address an obscene amount of times, in that case it was well deserved ๐ ), but after multiple attempts to figure out at the very least the "reason" for the ban (multiple attempts through support, and some on-nostr whining to nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle) I still havent gotten any answers.
I don't want my account back, I just want to know why.

I got an email today from nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqg4waehxw309ajkgetw9ehx7um5wghxcctwvsqs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dsqs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dsq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuegpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejsz9rhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjmcpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduqzpjdak6fvau05qvekhelq570cgdhxl0pjtgxjap6xcjmngg35ufaynl4wv2 saying they reinstated my account. My whining got Jack to push a manual review of my case, in which I'm sure they discovered I'm not a dark net overlord or even worth an email back, but regardless, I'm glad I have it back as a way to send fiat to Robosats crooks.
Received an email today that it got reinstated. Thanks for the nudge Jack! ๐ฅฐ
Is this what flirting looks like in 2025? ๐คฃ
Additional context paints a better picture of the situation ๐คฃ
-Tomorrow I help him move it out of the exchange
-He didn't even know he had it, it was an accident
-Some catfish had convinced him years back to send her bitcoin which apparently wasnt a red flag to him
-hes not tech savy at all
So my expectations are very low lol
Found out today that my dad has had a secret btc stack for years and didn't tell anyone. Never once mentioned it.
