I am doing a poll to find out what kind of content you want to hear.

Poll: What level of Linux knowledge do you have?

a) None, I'm on Windows

b) Average, I like Mint or Ubuntu

c) Above Average, I like Debian/Fedora

d) Expert, I'm on Qubes, Gentoo, Tails, other custom/hard to hack distros.

You don’t have to say which distro if you’re wearing a tinfoil hat.

Probably B trying to get more to C though I do use unmodified, out of the box Tails (just because I can; my threat model doesn’t call for it). I struggled with Qubes but would like to get a grasp of it.

Somewhere between B and D. I like Ubuntu's ease of use and the "it just works" aspect, but I have run Debian testing as a daily driver before and am currently trying (and enjoying) #NixOS.

keep in mind audience is nostr very wide spectrum

C/D my laptop is arch and I have a couple privacy oriented VMs and bootable USBs for my windows PC. I only have windows because some tools I use don't work well on Linux and I game, tarkov hates Linux😂

mint, but next PC build will likely be Arch, maybe Devuan

D, but i dont want to call myself an expert. Been using arch for years pretty much exclusively and i dont find it difficult. When you run into problems (which happens with everything, especially windows) it has great documentation and a very willing to help community

Honestly don’t know the differences.

I've always wanted to be above average

Linux n00b, it was setup for me by someone else.

D.... I run Qubes on a laptop that I dismantled, reflashed the bios, and neutered the IntelME on. Also, run Tails for various purposes...

You'll get the most subscribers by appealing to the lowest common denominator. Sad reality. 🙂

d.

But I still don't consider myself an advanced user, I still lack knowledge in some areas.
