We want to help get more great content on Nostr! One of the contents that is lacking is photographs. Many photographers on Nostr only post as short form notes, though there is a dedicated picture note that anyone can use to build up their public media library.

Introducing a new "Media" option. When you publish photos or videos, Nostria will create both picture or video post, and it will automatically publish as short form post ,so your photographs and videos get the exposure they deserve across all Nostr clients.

Can you explain more what is the difference between picture post and short form post? And why it will get more exposure?

Photo posts appear under "Media" in multiple Nostr clients. It's a dedicated kind of event that creates a clutter-free environment for anyone to enjoy your media.

To ensure your new image post is visible everywhere, Nostria posts a short form post that embeds your media event.

It was authored to enable "Instagram"-style apps and content creators. It also allows you to create feeds that shows nothing but photos or videos.

Wouldn't it suffice to boost the media note? Or maybe that's what actually happens?

Yes from what I understand that's what actually happens, a media post that is boosted by a regular post
