#asknostr What’s that website where we can search and filter past #asknostr questions?

A non-dev here :) did I understand right that there’s finally a web/desktop version? how can we run it? I’m on MacOS.

Warning: do NOT use travala.com any more, if you did.

They directly stole my money.

Here is my response to the customer service agent:

(Customer service agent),

> Sorry for the delay, im ahmed from compliance department, for refund or either processing the booking, the verification is a mandatory step, we require the minimum and basic info for that, and you can pass it easily through the following link :

Let's establish the facts: I have been a regular customer of Travala for years, have done probably a hundred or more bookings through your site - mentioning this *not* to claim some status as a customer (which I do not want, and do not have), but to point out that ZERO times on the website or through any of those transactions was it mentioned that you could simply keep my money and provide no service - i.e. STEAL my money - if I did not pass a verification process -handing over extensive and intrusive personal documents - that you never documented anywhere. And indeed for this booking, again, no such advance warning was given.

So you (that is to say Travala, not you personally!) act exactly as a kidnapper: to give me back the money which is mine, you insist that I hand over security sensitive information. Which I will not do. There are an endless stream of documented violent theft events of cryptocurrency holders, so spreading one's personal information is stupid, and any claim you make to "keep my data safe" is ridiculous, given the equally endless stream of reported hacking events. I do not trust your company with my personal information because I don't trust *any* company with it.

I have been doing Bitcoin development work for over a decade, I will make sure that a lot of people in the community know that Travala steals its customers money, directly, with no apology.

Feel free to pass this message to any management, I would appreciate that.

(me)

Oh wow I was just about to give Travala a try…

Ready for the new year.

PRACTICING WHAT I TEACH:

I sold $2.25 million in Bitcoin for approximately $90,000.

I purchased the Bitcoin for $6,000

a coin years ago.

With the cash from Bitcoin I am purchasing two surgery centers and investing in a Bill Board business.

I estimate my $2.25 million Bitcoin investment into the surgery centers and Bill Board business will be positive cash flowing aproximately

$27,500 a month income by next February….tax free.

Adding $27,500 a month income to my years of previous Cashflow positive real estate based business makes my cash flow cushion a bit fluffier, into $100’s of thousands per month.

I am still very bullish and optimistic on Bitcoin and will begin acquiring more with my positive cash flow.

This has been my “get rich plan” since I began playing Monopoly with my Rich Dad for over 65 years.

I am not saying my plan should be your plan. Warren Buffet would think my plan too slow and foolish.

Warren has his plan….as does Donald Trump has his plan.

What is your “get rich plan?”

If you have read Rich Dad Poor Dad and played my Cash Flow boardgame, you will recognize my latest Bitcoin acquisition of income generating real estate with tax and debt advantages….being played out in real life.

I was advised against posting my Bitcoin liquidation and acquisition of real estate.

You may know why I was advised against being transparent. Too many sickos out there.

Yet in a world of “Fake $” and Fake Teachers” I thought it best you know “I practice what I TEACH.”

More important question:

“What is your get rich plan?”

Please take care.

World economy is going on a wild ride.

Keep on posting on Nostr, RichDad!

It appeared in TestFlight exactly when you replied me 🙃

(but not in the AppStore - Europe / Hungary - though, just letting you know. )

After a month of heavy use on iOS, I’m pretty conflicted about the current state of Nostr clients.

From a product and UX perspective, three apps stand out: nostr:nprofile1qqs9xtvrphl7p8qnua0gk9zusft33lqjkqqr7cwkr6g8wusu0lle8jcprpmhxue69uhhqun9d45h2mfwwpexjmtpdshxuet5qythwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnsv9ex2ar09e6x7amw5254wh , nostr:nprofile1qqsraldwhvwcjgltmxwfu7kw8dqef2692yhzheuurd7k3kfy8cxjdqgpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqzxthwden5te0wpuhyctdd9jzuenfv96x5ctx9e3k7mgfgmy0m and nostr:nprofile1qqszpxr0hql8whvk6xyv5hya7yxwd4snur4hu4mg5rctz2ehekkzrvcpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ez6vpj9eukz6mfdphkumn99e3k7mgpz3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuvtnv96zummjvun8pev3 — but in a strangely inverted way.

First, nostr:nprofile1qqs9xtvrphl7p8qnua0gk9zusft33lqjkqqr7cwkr6g8wusu0lle8jcprpmhxue69uhhqun9d45h2mfwwpexjmtpdshxuet5qythwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnsv9ex2ar09e6x7amw5254wh :

Widely used, well known, active on Nostr, many reviews and coverage on YouTube, its creators, nostr:nprofile1qqsdv8emcke7k3qqaldwv956tstu40ejg663gdsaayuuujs6pknw7jspzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgqgkwaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8qunfd4skctnwv46qftzeqc and nostr:nprofile1qqsgqke57uygxl0m8elstq26c4mq2erz3dvdtgxwswwvhdh0xcs04scpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpzfmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2uce8wn4m are all behind it, super nice people.

Yet:

• Direct Messages are unreliable, especially cross-client

• No built-in translation (a real adoption blocker beyond English)

• UI is functional, but not visually appealing

Then nostr:nprofile1qqszpxr0hql8whvk6xyv5hya7yxwd4snur4hu4mg5rctz2ehekkzrvcpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ez6vpj9eukz6mfdphkumn99e3k7mgpz3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuvtnv96zummjvun8pev3 :

The opposite. Little known, few reviews, almost no coverage on YouTube, no visible developers or founder(s), only a Malaysian tech company in the background… JustHonne Technologies… with no CEO or any person behind it… Their website doesn’t link to real LinkedIn/X profiles, and YakiHonne isn’t even clearly presented as a flagship product.

And yet:

• The UI is beautiful

• Customization is deep and thoughtful

• Built-in translation works

• DM relays and content relays can be finely controlled (read vs write)

• Overall: it feels the most mature and carefully designed

Now, nostr:nprofile1qqsraldwhvwcjgltmxwfu7kw8dqef2692yhzheuurd7k3kfy8cxjdqgpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqzxthwden5te0wpuhyctdd9jzuenfv96x5ctx9e3k7mgfgmy0m sits between these two:

There is a well known and well-respected developer behind it, nostr:nprofile1qqsr9cvzwc652r4m83d86ykplrnm9dg5gwdvzzn8ameanlvut35wy3gpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumrpdejqz9rhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjmchdg6z6 who not at least invented zapping ❤️

It offers many settings, features, and customization options, and translation works — which is a big plus for non-English users.

However:

• The UI is not visually appealing

• The DM experience is still weak, cross-client messaging often fails here as well

So the core contradiction remains:

Why do the transparent, community-facing clients ( nostr:nprofile1qqs9xtvrphl7p8qnua0gk9zusft33lqjkqqr7cwkr6g8wusu0lle8jcprpmhxue69uhhqun9d45h2mfwwpexjmtpdshxuet5qythwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnsv9ex2ar09e6x7amw5254wh and nostr:nprofile1qqsraldwhvwcjgltmxwfu7kw8dqef2692yhzheuurd7k3kfy8cxjdqgpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqzxthwden5te0wpuhyctdd9jzuenfv96x5ctx9e3k7mgfgmy0m ) feel less refined in UX and messaging, while the most opaque one ( nostr:nprofile1qqszpxr0hql8whvk6xyv5hya7yxwd4snur4hu4mg5rctz2ehekkzrvcpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ez6vpj9eukz6mfdphkumn99e3k7mgpz3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuvtnv96zummjvun8pev3 ) has the best UX, features and customisation?

Am I missing protocol constraints, historical reasons, or design trade-offs?

Genuinely asking, and with respect for every dev behind these growing gems of Nostr social — I only would like to understand this better and help development. (I do leave test and bug reports on all the three clients’ github.)

#asknostr

I need to add @Nostria and @Nostur to the comparison, they both excel in areas the current main social apps do not. I'm preparing an in-depth review atm, stay tuned.

@boka I think the issue is that RSS and Nostr are separate protocols. Both do incredible things for music that most musicians don’t know about yet because collectively we are brainwashed by traditional distribution that point and click upload/distribution is the standard. Anyone can use these tools but it’s not a point and click experience. It’s not that we (musicians collectively) need it dumbed down either it’s just that we are using all of our time and brain power to make amazing music. We need a distribution UI that allows artists to upload and attach a wallet with splits that we can control AND that works with both ecosystems seamlessly. Ideally it would even work with traditional distribution…. Like Tidal. TIdal is making BIG moves in the space but all through the @block companies, specifically nostr:npub1cashappn03s3cl2ljsdntv0v28e2um5lgx4vjctqjt23pcwzjhsqmtdg5l - Artists can upload direct (at no charge) and be paid direct (from supporters and fans) via Cash App (I’m hoping bitcoin soon🤞) Be sure to check out Tidal Upload (separate from the normal tidal experience) if you have not already.

As nostr:npub19r9qrxmckj2vyk5a5ttyt966s5qu06vmzyczuh97wj8wtyluktxqymeukr said it’s early and we are just not there yet. That said some of us have been at it now for years without any real improvement on the UI side.

I’m hoping in 2026 we will bring a lot more collaboration between #nostr and #rss that addresses USER needs specifically.

I love my many DEV friends around the world but we need developers building for users. This feels like the biggest oversight to me in the space. More user solutions less vibe coding.

#justmytwosats

Thank you Ainsley for your reply!! Wow this CashApp feature is so hidden in Tidal!! Thanks for pointing it out!

Well as I understand (see attached) uploaded music won’t get royalties by simple plays, but only if listeners cashapp you… Am I right?

Otherwise direct artist support is not advertised whatsoever on Tidal upon signing up / opening their website, so probably this still has to be silent as this is not good for big labels. They just accept it as long as it remains silent and is (almost) invisible?

YakiHonne v5.4.0 doubles down on speed, signal, and control. Relay feeds now honor your Relay Sets, notifications are rebuilt (with mark read/unread and smarter mention-hiding), and a wider middle layout makes browsing easier on the eyes. Add Russian language, smarter real-time fetching with in-memory caching, disabled autosave for empty drafts, and faster message decryption—result: snappier timelines and quieter, more focused notifications.

Web: (v5.4.0)

• Relays feed now supports relay sets, allowing you to browse content from your preferred relay groups.

• A newly optimized notifications core for significantly faster loading and smoother access.

• Added the ability to mark notifications as read or unread.

• A wider middle layout provides improved visibility and a more comfortable browsing experience.

• Option added to hide mentions in notifications when a note includes many tagged users.

• Added Russian language support.

• Autosave is now disabled for empty widgets, articles, and notes to prevent unwanted drafts.

• Improved real-time content fetching for more accurate and consistent updates.

• Added in-memory caching to multiple areas of the app (notes, notifications, replies, etc.) for reduced loading times.

• Performance improvements across long lists — including notes (home, profile, relay feeds, search), other content types, notifications, and messages.

• Faster message decryption for users signing in with a private key, now non-blocking and more efficient.

• General bug fixes and improvements.

Look our fave nostr client!! 🤩
