It's a fucking horrible app and they removed the downgrade option making ppl trapped with half their system in each version. Total disaster. Been yelling at management for months lol

No mention of downgrade yet, these guys are bleeding customers. Their community has thousands of ppl returning product.

Did they lose the team that can do firmware there? Any insights?

Utter shit show, and no signs of backing down from stupid aside from empty letter.

It’s super hard to downgrade a mobile app.. unfortunately. I would suggest they just upgrade, but with a previous build of the code.

No, talking about downgrading the firmware to support the S1 app. They removed the options a couple months ago.

KEF bricked my speakers for months with their shit app and firmware update. I finally raised hell, went maximum Karen, and they basically told me to fuck off. A week later the app updates, the firmware magically goes through, and everything is great again.

And yes, the speakers are so good that it was all worth it.

Whats amazing to me is why didn't they leave the S1 alone until they have a winner with the S2. Let people use the old stuff and win them over with a much better thing, instead of raw dog them into a new horrible prison.

Just massive lack of foresight coupled with incompetent management. My opinion, anyway.

In my case, they are infamous for doing things like that. It's happened so much that you just don't buy KEF digital products without factoring this in. And nothing changes. I suspect Sonos is just getting started.

I have my old-fi, but having both was great. When it worked.
