Mini melons?
Almost mini cucumbers, kinda
I tried growing someouse melons last year and they never came up but some seed must have laid dormant because they are growing like crazy this year and I didn't plant any. They taste great pickled or just fresh.

We start them indoors and they are self seeding a bit. What is your climate zone?
I don't know what our area would be in the US system. We are technically Mediterranean in climate here in South Australia, but we are in the hills, we seem to have an alpine climate in winter and very hot summers. I'll try to start them indoors this year.
