Gossip has the most terrible and slowest GUI. Overall, this situation is common for all applications written in Rust.

When was the last time you tried ? .. saying cuz I did around four months back .. shelved it for it was not fully baked ..
Tried again um yesterday .. o my my .. it is still alpha from features standpoint ( vs Amethyst) but it rocks my fifteen years desktop ..
As regards to your point on #rust apps .. it takes time to finesse rust .. but whatever it does , it is perfect and it does it like a bullet train .. I love rust not for great UI .. I do for it is most efficient language ever .. after C but C has lot more gotchas
