Today was the last day, I had to close my business...

Apart from looking for a job, what could I do❓

Ideas, tips...

Close your business? What? Why?

This is how everything works in Romania...

What do you mean?

Law's are changing everyday, you don't know what you have to do, etc.

For example if I will find a job 42% from my salary goes to government.

Wow… for real? I know Belgium is bad, but probably not at that level

This is the situation here.

And we are not getting paid in euro but all the prices are calculated in euro.

Wow for real?

I know we sometimes do some outsourcing at work, and when I do the conversions from Euro to the other currency, I’m amazed aswell

Yes, 1 euro=4.5 or 5 RON(Romanian coin)

So what does that mean for you?

If I have 20 euro bill than I have to pay 100 RON example

And the medium salary it's about 2500-3000 RON

Money that you receive after taxes

And what did you do as a living?

I had a copy center in my town since 1999

Oh nice. And now you had to close your business? 😕 due to taxes or anything?

Taxes, growing prices and as I said calculated in euro, stupid law's that are making you too close the business.

I'm not the only one... In my town a lot of small businesses are closing...

damn that sounds insane :/ I kinda feel sorry for you man

This is it...

I don't have any idea what to do, this is why I was asking for ideas...

Nothing is working...

And it's a small town approximately 20000 people most of them old people.

Joking but not joking, the only thing that works in this town it's the penitentiary(second in country as size), banks and pharmacy.

:/ I’m sure you’ll find something man!

I have no other solution just to find a job but this is hard too because I'm 43yo and private companies are searching for young people so they don't have to pay them with lots of money because they don't have experience.

And another thing is that they are searching for people with no education, and I have a degree in Marketing and International Affairs.

:/ best of luck anyways man

Try to open a new business and avoid being a slave

But I don't know what business to open, I'm struggling to find something for a year I think and nothing works...

I’m afraid that’s exactly the most difficult part. 💪

I know this would be a big step, but could you move yourself and your family to a country with better opportunities?

Sorry but it's not a solution, for that I need a lot of things to... I don't know

Not a solution right now but thanks

What do you like doing?

I had a small copy center from '99, so I have worked mostly at PC and copy machines.

Maybe you could create some bitcoin and nostr art that you could print and sell globally 🫡

Not bad... I have to think. Thanks.

Beekeeping?

There's a learning curve but can be quite rewarding for fairly minimal effort/investment (honey/wax has a very long shelf life)

Need to be fit enough to lift heavy boxes
