I do think the nsa created bitty . They had a white paper on it in the 90s . I really donβt care at this point, the matrix will continue moving forward
Calling this Bitcoin is another thing I'm filing under the category of crack smoke. Sad to see
Yeah bro itβs totally unrelated
Maybe. Was it actually groundbreaking at the time or anything?
Either way, you can tell the NSA didn't create doggie coin pretty easily
isn't doggie coin a copy of bitcoin code?
it makes a lot of sense that it came from someone who worked at NSA as they did have a lock on a lot of smart people coming out of school. especially any kid who may have been scared by 911 into thinking the government was the good guys .
maybe SpaceX & Tesla have pivoted into the most-desirable workplace for kids nowadays.
yeah, doge is a fork of Litecoin which is a fork of BTC and I think the doge maintainers actually switched years ago to following Bitcoin updates more than Litecoin updates for new changes to the code
I'm basically just saying my gut tells me the NSA didn't put a shiba inu on the coin saying "much wow" even if they did make the original one π½
i remember hearing about Litecoin. I'm glad I wasn't in the space back then before there were books about it. It must have been confusing to know which one makes more sense.
My favorite theory about the naissance of Bitcoin is that it's like the movie "Moana".
Little Satoshi sets off on a magical voyage across the oceans guided by the spirits of economists passed.
His first stop is the Yap stones island...
Then maybe he does some time travel to Africa for the beads and then China for the gold/silver. (Saiffedeans book works as the script here) .
Until one day he ends up at the NSA in their working group "how to keep the financial world under our control." They brainstorm their worst enemy "Bitcoin" and how to take it down.
Satoshi then goes home and his spirit guides are like, "so, are you ready to make this?"
...
I could believe this.
I tend to think of Satoru Iwata (Nintendo) as the most likely candidate for who Satoshi would be. Your theory also kinda fits with him learning about central banking by running an international business, learning about P2P networks by Nintendo fighting piracy, etc π€
Pure speculation for fun though - trying to guess who Satoshi really was is like buying a lottery ticket, but it costs a guess and the win is being whoever guessed right instead of it being about money
I had to read up on him. He sounds like a sympathetic character. according to Wikipedia he was a prolific programmer in addition to being an executive. Nintendo definitely had a lot of my brain share as a kid. I like the theory.
2 more things I always like to mention about it -
* The Nintendo 64 was released in his time at Nintendo and it's a full-fledged Linux-capable computer with no backdoors that could potentially have been useful for Japanese military purposes
* Animal Crossing was released in his time at Nintendo and its "Nook item code" system is basically like an offline crypto transaction https://animalcrossing.fandom.com/wiki/Item_codes_(GCN)
