I was thinking about this, my guess is that most of the early bitcoin adopters, especailly pre 2020, still think like in the first sentence. We just have a few rich loadmouths and a whole lot of retail doing the second.

So does it really matter? They might try and fork it, but the core bitcoiners will continue on with the real thing. Nothing really changes unless all the bitcoiner OG's and paranoid crytpo anarchists sell their coins. It's these Leute who have most of the supply of btc.

Most of the early bitcoiners in my circle have long moved to Monero.

We weren't in this tech to celebrate hipsters posting dumb tweets from some island nor to have governments chasing whoever uses crypto to assure their freedom.

You have basically forgotten why we created cryptocurrencies in the first place.

Fuck the casino coins on exchanges.

Fuck government surveillance.

Fuck off with your bitcoin psyop cult.

We don't want it, we don't need it.

cryptocurrency is A tool*/* not e-motion/*emotion fren

2024 lettuce hands give a small percentage for billions of fiat, diamond hands hodl.

If we split up the ~17 million available coins equally amongst every person on earth, we get a maximum of 0.002125 BTC, or 212,500 Satoshis per person.

Still plenty of decentralisation available to those who want to be free.

Satoshi would turn over in his grave if he could see this bullshit.

Yeah, I can't see him simping for Saylor

Donate money to state treasure is an interesting strategy for sure...

It is. So is simping for wall street. Because smart money has a huge history of making money for people. You know, they ones they call dumb money.

Y

Monero fixes that.
