here’s the thing tho… people also need to actively engage with creators’ content.

there are so many fantastic creators both here and on centralized platforms that do not receive the engagement even CLOSE to what generalized Bitcoin hopium or outrage porn generates.

yes, it’s on creators to publish to open protocols, but it’s also on the audience to keep them motivated!!

👏👏👏

Ad-funded platforms have trained so many into being totally passive consumers of content. Ironically, the advertisers understand there is value in the time and work involved in building an audience and producing good content on a consistent basis because they pay creators to do it. The issue is that advertisers and the associated platforms then control which content and messages are deemed “valuable.” V4V has to work against a lot of inertia to create a new paradigm.

very, very good point

Speaking as the audience, it can be difficult on Nostr to engage with creators if I don't happen to be on here around the same time the creator is posting something.

Someone recently mentioned an idea for a client that would give you the option to populate your feed with the newest notes from everyone you follow, rather than the standard chronological style that rewards those who post the most notes. That would be a welcome option.

From a lot loving yours and walker content, but the best is that you practice what you preach, thats not so common in this world
