I really don’t like that cheap stretchy material either. They don’t last as long. Even if you don’t put them in the dryer. Bring back raw denim
I didn't even know that they've started putting plastic into the 501's that is how long the last bunch of 501's lasted. I'm not paying €140 for plastic jeans!
That’s expensive for Levis. Is it because they ship from North America?
I don't know. Maybe adjusted for inflation? I used to pay around 100-120 a few years ago and the price tag kinda surprised me as well. As for stretch, it's plastic no matter what they call it and I don't like plastic clothes.
Levis turned to bad quality, I destroyed 3 pairs in a couple of years. I swirched to Jack&Jones ones which are good quality for the price, they last me 2-3 years so far and still in good shape.
Still not as good as jeans from 20-30 years ago I guess.
The last 501's lasted about 5 years then they started ripping along the butt 🤣
I recently went to stock up on a a couple of jeans and yeah, I wasn't impressed with what I found at the stores. So after kindly declining to pay €140 for a plastic loaded 501 I bought another set of cargo pants 🤣
I've never seen stretch 501s. I have normal 501s on that I got 10 years ago at Mark's. I did get a fake pair off Amazon once where the legs were 1.5 inches narrow than usual. 🤣
Apparently it's what people want. That's what the guy at the store said anyway. When I said well then it's not a 501 he proudly showed me the label.
Not all 501s are stretch to fit.
Bought a pair of Levi’s made in 1996. Still perfect, no worn off. Stuff made in a better time!
That Costco shit is just jeggings with a deceptive label. I've found real 501's at the outlet stores.
Well, the only real jeans are Wrangler...IYKYK
All downstream of inflation but also...
Fast fashion is a reflection of fast food as the Human body has become inflammed. Clothing with quality fabric can definitely be found at one's local op shop.
