I just bought all the ammo and just hunter โ€œyou got 500 pounds of bisonโ€

Hahaha... I never made it across. All those years... never even made it out West. Haha. Game was HARD.

Omg... and SimCity.

Warm feels remembering all the games and programs.

Now it's Bitcoin and Nostr ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ˜

Did you ever have a pager?

STOP. Hahaha. My dad would let me use his. My girlfriend had one too.

Now I have a Cold Wallet?!

USENET vibes as well.

Nooooo!! Iโ€™d be nervous thinking the hospital is *back to the future* current. But Iโ€™m sure your patients are in good hands!

Why pagers? Just curious. Is it common?

Common in medical still.

Yeah... it's still common. Just an alert device.

Wait. You're a doctor for real?

Mad respect. Those pagers are awesome. Hahaa.

Funny, I hadnโ€™t worn a pager on call since the mid 2000s - switched to cell phone

#docchain. You need to forward your pager to your cellphone ๐Ÿ˜†

Wait this is you?? Why not an actual picture of yourself!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

yeah I know right? it's fun. does SMS + Email, and Voicemail. and it's a whole lot less annoying than having to keep a slab of delicate glass charged, without some how destroying it, and hearing it beep and blip and vibrate all day.

hm... what's a pagar?

*pager

OMG... hahaha. Its old tech that would make u laugh now!

๐Ÿ˜‚ this is a pager. it sends and receives text messages, emails and gets voicemails.

its assigned a phone #. most pagers just get voicemails, but you have to call the pager # to check them.

in this case, i dont use a smartphone, so i have a landline VOIP phone, and the pager...

Back in the day, pagers only displayed a number that was meant for you to call back. They didnโ€™t do fancy things like VM ๐Ÿคฃ

si senorita. this is what happened at the turn of the millennium. its a t-52 (korean clone of the motorola p9000).

I remember having to mash a number 4 times to let someone know it was ME. Lol. Technology is wild at how it advances now.

๐Ÿคฃ yeah i remember that too....

at school the next day, whats your code? i thought it was 2569

Someone can correct me if Iโ€™m wrong but Iโ€™m pretty sure if youโ€™re scanning the right frequency you can literally just freely read pager messages youโ€™re picking up. ๐Ÿ˜‚

?

It was something like this (disclaimer I never actually tried it, just remember reading about it a bit): https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=45142&p=357671
