Masculinity has largely been villainized and discouraged for the better part of the last decade; that said, I think we’re about to see a resurgence. Lord knows we need it.

This is very evident when you scroll something like TikTok. Every other post is something like we don't need men, I choose the bear, why men are the devil, etc.
There is no doubt that is damaging their psyche, especially in young men. If they don't have parents and a quality friend circle that are counteracting that, it's a wrap.
I get what you’re saying, but i’m pretty sure the bear trend was women who were speaking about domestic violence and sexual assault.
Men who do that aren’t real men, it’s okay for women to open up about it. If men see that as demeaning they should look in the mirror and ask themselves why it bothers them when women speak out about sexual violence at the hands of men.
I don’t use tiktok so i don’t see this stuff, but that trend was very specific. Other than the bear trend, I don’t see anything like that anywhere else. Remember your feed is based on an algorithm that’s catered to you.
It was. It no longer is. It is now being applied to masculine men and any behavior that women don't find appealing. When something as simple as holding the door became misogynistic, the plot is long gone.
I posted this earlier this week on someone's note, but I hold the door for everyone. It's just something I've done since my grandmother beat it into me as a youngster.
Anywho, I was leaving 7-11 and held the door for a younger woman and she rolled her eyes at me as she walked in. I'd like to say that was a one off occurrence, but it's damn near a coin flip anymore on how someone is going to react.
