But I should be able to buy a bitkey with bitcoin. The owner of the company advocates for this but dosen't do it himself.
Discussion
The company....
Is not jack.....
The company is subject to more annoying laws, taxes, and other compliance if it accepts bitcoin.
Personally, I'd rather give my address etc to a company collecting data for the government and say I lost the device, opposed to letting them know what addresses are mine and track them. 🤷
This isn't a good enough reason for me. Not for a large company like that. They have people who's job is to deal with this.
The Bitkey seems marketed for noobs.
Buy something that can be bought with bitty.
I don't want to buy one
Just arguing that you should be able to?
Yes. It only seems normal as he is saying Bitcoin ought to be used as medium of exchange if it want to succeed.
Normal is paying with fiat for things.
But he says this will make bitcoin fail. He disagrees.
nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m doesn’t decide what makes Bitcoin fail. He’s not infallible.
I know. I don't personally believe this would mean Bitcoin has failed.
I am simply wondering how he can both call for bitcoin to be used as a medium of exchang while not personally walking the talk.
I guess I was just wondering why you care how people pay for something?
How do you still miss the point...
I care only because this specific company as an owner that is saying more people should transact with bitcoin or else it will fail.
I get the point you are making.
Haven’t heard him say that and don’t agree with it even if he did.
Not transacting in btc for a hardware wallet will not cause the network to fail. That’s asanine.
He made a business decision.
