thats not how nip66 works. you follow the right monitors that you, believe in... type thing. a monitor can publish info about as many relays as it wants, and thats convenient because you can decide if it is a good match for you.

Right, but new users don't trust anyone yet. We can't make them decide on a monitor.

why would be deciding on a relay worse than deciding on a monitor?

a single monitor, could be given to a fren, and have the tags for each type of relay.. and populate choice list and even geoloc, stats! it would be amazing. i will not be onboarding frens to the firehose anylonger

its cool from many perspectives but as a systems nerd i am loving having monitors that can ping and report results, like, hey youre down on the east coast or etc 😁 people pay big bucks for distributed monitoring like this and its just one tiny aspect of why nip66 is 🔥
