After trying to get bitcoiners, the next target group for #nostr logically would be other open source advocates and tech geeks, which I’m sure way outnumber bitcoiners but have many of the same interests.

People will only try a new app once or twice before they completely dismiss it.
This is why I don't feel any desire to onboard non-bitcoiners to nostr.
Bitcoiners will put in the work to jump through dozens of hoops, be disappointed repeatedly, and stick with open source tech anyway based on principal, but the average person doesn't have that type of motivation.
If we build something great people will come. There's no need to go around talking about how great nostr is. Functionality > Marketing.
