There are no decent documentaries about the cypherpunk movement, are there?

Cypherpunks Write Code is awesome. Iโ€™ll try to find a clean link.

The Reason series? Yeah, I know this oneโ€ฆbut thatโ€™s it?

Itโ€™s the only one Iโ€™ve come across.

Yes. Reason didn't a great job with this doc.

There needs to be another one thatโ€™s not a multi-part series.

Thanks for the link.

I never would have found this one!

Question I have is was/were Satoshi actually caught on film at some point in this documentary, especially at the "Financial Cryptography Conference" in Anguilla.

๐Ÿ˜œ

watching this thinking the same thing

Yea, a whole lot of really OG OGs

๐Ÿ˜Ž

The farther I get in the Genesis book the more convinced I am that Satoshi was a group effort by people who still walk among us.

Such a good book!

Well......that's my next book choice sorted. ๐Ÿซก

Itโ€™s great.

Also here a comprehensive academic type paper. Not a docu but again cool to read. It's titled "Cypherpunk ideology: objectives, profiles, and influences (1992โ€“1998)"

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/24701475.2021.1935547#abstract

Maybe(I watched many years ago), despite it being a bit msm, a watchable docu.

BBC Horizon's....."Inside the Dark web"

Nostr is the Dark Web now, isnโ€™t it?

Nostr is compatible with the dark web. There are parts of nostr on and off of the dark web

Nostr mostly fits the definition of a "deep web" because mainstream search engines don't index it so you need to use nostr's own search tools for it
