Correct, ppl think in terms of binary solutions where hodl should encompass multiple solutions for different personal uses

if someone has a meaningful amount of bitcoin, say 15, would you feel comfortable pointing them to a singlesig + passphrase or is that time to graduate to multisig?

Really depends on the comfort level, threat self-assetment, etc....

ppl hold alot of btc in both setups.
