Everyone who has self custody knows the fear of loosing your keys. Now imagine having millions of dollars worth of customers bitcoin and loosing the keys. Absolute nightmare. I understand the sentiment to dip into customer funds to replenish lost bitcoin, anyone in that position would do the same. And that’s the problem, If you have access to print money or take funds from other people you will always have a good reason to do it.
