If there are any apps you've installed recently, removing them might be an easy fix.

An update can cause an app to eat memory too. If you can track recent updates, and removing any suspects, that might fix it.

Depending on your phone, you might be able to see diagnostics on battery usage by an app, which may lend clues.

Yeah I might install a battery app just to see what is running on the background. Amethyst is actually quite heavy.
