Yes I really want to upgrade to a Pixel 9 Pro... But I also want to keep my sats... 😅
What is filling it up? I have never experienced this before.
Yeah not sure, I use my phone a lot so I jump between apps and the memory fills up. For example when I jump back in the home screen then the launcher takes time to reload...
If there are any apps you've installed recently, removing them might be an easy fix.
An update can cause an app to eat memory too. If you can track recent updates, and removing any suspects, that might fix it.
Depending on your phone, you might be able to see diagnostics on battery usage by an app, which may lend clues.
Yeah I might install a battery app just to see what is running on the background. Amethyst is actually quite heavy.
In the developer settings for Android you can use the memory profiler to find out what app is doing it. If you are running 15 you will need to enable it then give it a while to accumulate stats.
That's a great tip! I had it enabled but it was at 3 hours so not so useful. Now I switched it to 1 day. Let's see. Android OS is at 4.5GB...
I would stop using my phone for stuff if my computer can do it, but maybe you don't have that option.
