First off, Lola, you'll need to use a Linux distro that's good quality for your hardware, and a local-first setup for your software. Anything cloud-based will be garbage, trackable and traceable back to you.

Secondly, for the camera, you'll want to get a good quality webcam to start, and have a good quality ring light. For the webcam, I'd probably go for a Logitech C920, and for the ring light, I use a UBeesize ring light for my videos.

Thirdly, you need to obscure parts of your face. I personally use sunglasses whenever I do a video on my YouTube channels with a face camera, so my eyes are not shown. I also wear a formal suit, but that's because of the look I go for. Maybe you could do the same, or wear a mask that just has your mouth uncovered if you don't want to wear a formal dress and sunglasses every video.

I'd be happy to discuss specifics via DM if you're interested, as I know a thing or two about local-first content creation (as I've done that for 4 years now).
