Would be cool to have bluetooth & wifi sync on native Nostr apps. Would be useful in offline situations and countries where the internet is censored.

Meshtastic is interesting, but apps that work on every phone over bluetooth and wifi would have better reach, and simpler setup

Or better yet over encrypted mesh network Wi-Fi. Bluetooth is pretty insecure.

How insecure is Bluetooth? πŸ‘€

To the point where everyone knows where you're at. It's almost as bad as GPS.

I was not aware. I'm gonna have to do my own research. Is it related to the Apple low-energy bluetooth GPS thingie? Or bluetooth in general?

In general.

Isn’t Bluetooth pretty insecure?

Signatures and Encryptions fix any issue it might have.

Have you tried this one nostr:nprofile1qqsxhugzf33nvzfmvvkm9k3pkedyf37c9qcy2na56atrfw3grctpeyqpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtcc29rx2

No, but we'd be up for doing it once we get funding and start on the android app

SIGit data is signed and encrypted without metadata leakage, so it can travel quite safely over an insecure channel such as bluetooth

Neither Briar nor Simplex support using multiple clients with the same account, which is too bad.

Not to mention Briar is exclusive to Android devices.

Available for #Linux too.

What about over Reticulum ?
