what makes nostr similar to Twitter? Will it someday be able to hold political and social discourses similar to that on Twitter?

Let me rephrase it a better way.
How about this. Someone tweets something controversial and next day that tweet is all over media and thus that tweet has come out of Twitter and made its way to larger audience.
While we've some popular twitter alternatives with a large user base (mastodon, substack) and people are actively posting there but they don't make it to larger audience in a way twitter does.
What’s great about Nostr is that the twitter like experience is only the tip of the iceberg. The hive mind works in a weird way, but I am amazed by how fast it works.
Yes. It is mainly an echo chamber talking about Bitcoin and Nostr at this stage, but diversity is coming.
