I took a proper polar plunge this morning in calmer but no less colder water. It could have been on my birthday but we were still in the middle of the Drake Passage then when the water is unforgiving and deadlier.

Amazing!

You know that Orcas eat men right?

If it's only men, then I'm safe. πŸ˜„

It is unnecessary risk. Nice experience, i give you that, but why the risk? Unknown waters are unknown waters.

If i sound like a father, well... that's excellent πŸ˜€

All risk is unnecessary unless you wish to progress your life or society.

When a society moves from freedom to safety, that indicates the start of the decline in that society.

Totally understandable however, as once a society has peaked it need not worry about pushing boundaries or risk.

As a father you are doing your job, but as a child you are not going to live a full or satisfying life unless you make your father uneasy with the risks you take.

Risk is necessary in general. Sometimes it is not. That is all.

Anyway our beloved woman had a nice experoence. We will keep that

It may be a risk to you but it is an experience for me. If it wasn't here, I would still plunge in Lapland in February.

In Lapland in a lake? Nice. Do that instead.

These beasts, Orcas and sharks, depending the waters, often follow ships. The rason? Snacks...

What about a floating shark cage?

I don't know tbh. It is a safety measure...

Orcas are pretty much everywhere anyway. Even though there are cultural differences, I don't think orcas eat humans.

It's more of a risk for surfers in wetsuits, because they look more like seals.

Maybe.

What is wrong with you

Exhilarating experience! Good on ya!

I think I’d enjoy having this in my memory banks more than doing it

Way too cold there πŸ₯ΆπŸ₯ΆπŸ˜… what makes it dangerous? Is it predators or water currents that could take you down or is there something else?

Time and temperature?
