It's just hasn t been released yet.

Ha. Got ya lol

I've dated Brits. That sorta counts.

And... uh... I'm of statistically-significant amounts of British descent. 😂

Watching it rn! Thanks for the tag. You are correct, I am not British, I am severely American 🇺🇸

What did you find remarkable about this speech? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not sure about in the US but firstly this is totally unusual as a speech given by a politician, referencing religion at all. Also it's extremely unusual it is so eloquent. But mostly the succinctness of damning a society and system (including the Church of England) that has started worshipping secular liberalism, migration and fetishizing islam.

...whilst being delivered to an empty chamber.

with a flower, naked, and the walls surrounded by showers that are attached to a diesel engine exhaust

This is the case EVERYTIME something of note is said… no one cares, they’re all in the bogs sniffing Charlie.

My understanding is that for adjournment debates in the UK it’s not normal for the chamber to be largely empty? Perhaps I’m wrong? This type of speech is really common coming from evangelicals in the US tbh though so maybe that’s why it’s not hitting me as anything other than normal Protestant talking points kinda 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sorry typo, not *abnormal* I thought they were normally empty chambers for those?

Maybe I am wrong! Are adjournments debates not normally empty??

It's more likely I am wrong about everything

We can be wrong about everything together 💃🏼🕺🏻

I have no idea tbhlol, but it made for added gravitas

Really no one speaks like this in UK politics, everyone is a Tony Blair clone

We have the opposite issue here where there’s too much evangelicalism going on I fear. Like 90% of Congress is Christian and there’s a lot of evangelicals like Mike Johnson types who will do speeches like this one in the US. Typically not to an empty room but we don’t have adjournment debates but it can happen if someone is like late night filibustering

I guess I’m just completely desensitized to political sermons because they’re so normal here. Used to hearing them my whole life!!

No wonder GB is turning into hell, if practically no one is interested in heaven.

GB debased itself.
