There's also interesting threads, but they don't get many likes, but have lots of interesting replies and conversations. Not sure how an algo would highlight that sort of thing tho.

Yeah I’m not Devy so I don’t know enough about these algorithms, but I was thinking about hashtags and how they don’t always work here because people will post and spam all the hashtags. If we had more relays that were single category focused> I feel like it would be easier to find interesting content that has nothing to do with popularity.

I like the bluesky topic feeds idea. Bluesky have eg a film feed that shows all posts which add the film camera emoji. And feeds are coming to nostr. I have no idea how they will work or how they will eliminate spam / abuse from that tho. But should be interesting.
