I agree with most of this, but some points need important “ifs,” while others I absolutely disagree with.
Things I agree with, but with conditions (“ifs”):
- Sexuality – I don’t care who sleeps with who, as long as both sides consent. But there are situations where “consent” is questionable, like with minors or people who are mentally unwell. In those cases, it’s not real consent, and that matters.
- Epstein files – If they contain proof of crimes, they should absolutely be acted on. But doxing victims or people who weren’t involved in the crimes is wrong. Release the files, but protect victims and those not guilty of anything.
Things I absolutely disagree with:
- Politics – Politics aren’t just a personal matter; they affect everyone. If someone holds extreme political views and acts on them at the ballot box, that impacts the whole society. Ignoring dangerous politics just gives more space for extremism, whether left or right.
- Religious beliefs – Same as politics. Religion shapes decisions, especially on election day. If people push religion into politics or try to impose their beliefs on others, that affects all of society. That’s something worth being angry about.
