Let's not normalize credit card debt, it's a social disorder which brings most average people to financial ruin.

Haven’t had a credit card since 1997. It’s been an interesting experience. 🙂

That's amazing - good for you. Can I ask why?

In 97 we moved country. In the early 90’s we extended ourselves a bit far and had to work really hard to get on top of it. When we moved we started fresh and both agreed that we didn’t want to have that experience again. After a few years it became clear that we could manage things without having a credit card. And here we are!😄

That’s a long time!

Yes. We even run a business without one as well!

Amazing! Taking notes.

Shakepay has me using Visa prepaid now more than anything else. I’ve been blessed enough not to fall into credit trap.

For a long time, you needed one to buy online, but other than that it was largely a status thing. I worked with someone that openly said she loved shopping with it, and was happy to pay the interest despite knowing it was for things she had purchased and no longer used.
