The nominal dollar denominated numbers [on choose your metric] will continue to rise for the uninitiated but will remain meaningless due to long timeframes, yet the theft will continue and only accelerate.

Nice to see you again B Scarce!
Apparently, Bitcoinβs going through a "51% Attack Anxiety" that's causing the market volatility.

I smell another Bart.

Some days, I am surrounded by absolutely miserable people but I donβt really give a shit. For some unknown reason, I seem to be a lot happier than other people and their shitty attitudes canβt bring me down so easy.

Got a blank space where my mind should be
Got a Clif Bar and some cold green tea
Got clouds that seem to follow me
Got strange demands piled up on me
Got memories, Got memories
Memories of being free
Gonna steal time from the faulty plan
Gonna act as though I'm still a man
Gonna give you one last chance to see
Gonna shrug demands off of me
Gonna dream, gonna dream, gonna dream, gonna dream
Dream of being free
Gonna steal time from the faulty plan, steal time from the faulty plan
Gonna steal time from the faulty plan, steal time from the faulty plan
Got a blank space where my mind should be
Got a blank space where my mind should be
Got a blank space where my mind should be
Got a blank space where my mind should be
Space where my mind should be.

This Christmas, I chose violence against some of my favorite podcasters! 𧑠I vibe-code a podcast player that automatically skips ads. But before podcasters come for me attacking their revenue stream, there's something for you too at the end!
Podcasting 2.0 already supports chapters, which are just time codes. So I adapted that functionality to just add time codes for ads. Not exactly rocket surgery! ππ¨ββοΈ

Skipping intro/ads in the recent nostr:nprofile1qqsg2zqd8wkhpnxu6lm5c2dyfa2mhpwte57apjae2ldp6g2mmwf3ypqpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgcwaehxw309ahx7um5wghxvmt59emkj73wvf5h5tcpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctv9urj9dyf & nostr:nprofile1qqs9a486n5w72dsn72tyentdrj08ppqk2yyq707qdmlm347lkl6jmpgppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp00twttv episode.
But where it could get interesting for nostr are the incentives. The start/stop time codes of the ads needs to be sourced from somewhere. That data could be crowdsourced from nostr users, who would earn zaps when an ad they tagged got skipped. The podcast producers could even provide their own time code tags so they get the zaps.

Haven't spent a ton of time on this, but I'd imagine listeners would probably pull the data from a paid nostr relay so their player could look up the GUID for each episode to get the ad time codes. And the player would notify the relay when an ad got skipped and by which npub and who's npub tagged the timecodes.

Where it could get interesting for podcast creators is that the ads that are baked into your mp3 get stale over time, or they are just totally irrelevent to a global audience. You're leaving money on the table. With these tagged time codes you could have dynamic ads that are localized for people that listen using an ad-block compatible player that hasn't paid for the ad-blocking. They still get ads, but more relevant ads.

Disclaimer: I am not a podcaster (or developer) and have little insight into the inner workings of the biz model of the industry. I just wanted to try out Claud with and scratch an itch of an idea.
Simple proof of concept code as a fork of Podverse:
Anon, donβt pretend that we donβt always skip ads anyway. This is great. πͺπΌπ€πΌ
Wat! I donβt know about you but I miss all the personalized ads and shortly algos warping my sense of reality.

PV is viable. Youβd have to admit though, that y he assertion that PV panels create free energy is absurd.
They are two entirely separate conjectures.
You have to think of ALL of the energy inputs to produce a PV panel.
Producing a photovoltaic (PV) panel is an extensive process that encompass multiple stages. It begins with the extraction and processing of raw materials such as silicon, aluminum, glass, and various metals, which involves mining and refining operations that are energy-intensive. These refined materials are then transported to manufacturing plants, where they undergo further processing to create silicon wafers, solar cells, and finally, assembled into PV modules. Throughout this supply chain, transportation between stages consumes additional energy.
The production process also requires significant human labor and various chemical reactions, each contributing to the overall energy footprint.
Additionally, the end-of-life management of PV panels, including recycling or disposal, adds to the energy inputs.
It is highly doubtful that the output total of a PV panel closely approximates the overall energy inputs before the system degrades into disuse.
Free energy is a myth.
Study thermodynamics.

The bounceback from this FOMC dump-a-roo is going to tickle my pickle.
