Did you get an advanced lipid panel that includes LDL particle size? get that and dump the research about large, fluffy LDL particles on Doctor Timebomb
My new family doctor is freaking out because because I have high cholesterol and are a "very high risk" of a heart attack.
Before my blood test results came in, he said my blood pressure, heart rate and breathing results were top notch and well above average.
It's kinda funny, sprinting every couple of weeks, being able to run a half marathon in <1:50:00, and working out 6 days/week for the last 25 years, a healthcare professional believes I'm a tickling time bomb.

That's on the list of things to ask in the next meeting
If your doctor is anything like mine, they won't offer the test. I had to finagle a way to order it myself and go to a lab.
...and my doctor was very unfamiliar with the tests/results
what "test?" what do you ask for?
Haven't been in years and need to get a benchmark
I think it's called vertical auto profile (VAP).
