Correct; I think yeast is better. But I very rarely eat donuts; the most important thing of all is that they are hot and fresh (less than 5 minutes old).

unfortunately, there is a little hole in the wall doughnut shop that makes the best fritters Iβve ever had not far away. best doughnuts many have ever had by their own accounts π€·ββοΈ

IMHO cake is too dense, doughnuts are already too sweet , so their dough should be airy
