towards the end, I note the current block number and sew it on. each block is marked in time. unique point in time, never to occur again.

yeah I totally understand. I've been trying to brainstorm other things to make that are practical but still have room for creativity
I get it. Trying to find that thing that sells is also it’s own challenge.
