Roger and CSW were wrong. Admit it

It was the wrong time to raise block space

I don't care about CSW. But Roger and BCashers were kind of right.

Are you a "never raise the blocksize" person? Or a "when the time is right" person?

If or when the time is right. There might be better solutions in the future.

I can get behind that

As long as I can exit to a self custodial option at any time or some trustless system can be built around it, centralisation will happen on some level. Pick your poison. I prefer decentralised base layer and centralised L3 providers or something.

It took decades to get layer 1 "right"

Decades to get other layers right is also OK.

IMHO.

GFY

What if you "can" technically exit, but the fee will cost you all the value of your UTXO? Essentially the same as not being able to exit

Extreme scenario #1: Centralize via small blocks (99% can't afford to transact on chain anyway...so they won't run a node)

Extreme scenario #2: Centralize via large blocks (99% can't run a node)

...or somewhere in between where we conservatively raise blocksize according to lower end capability of current tech and avoid either extreme.

Fat chance I know. An anon can dream.

Let the great grandkids fight it out. We're a long way away and we have no idea what technologies will come in the interim.
