No one is talking about the post covid migrations and now those will impact the electoral college results.

maybe tangentially, but I haven't seen any thorough analysis of population trends shifting with these past few years.

thinking specifically about people moving from blue states to red states and from HCOL to LCOL like West coast --> Midwest

If you're suggesting that the electoral college would vote for another candidate than their states selection then say that.

You don't have to wonder about something I'm suggesting. My first reply is the point I'm making.

Did you even read the second paragraph of Article 2? It is written very plainly.

And since you mentioned it, most of the members of the Electoral College are allowed to vote for whomever they want. They are not the popular vote. Hillary got the popular vote, but that has never been how the President is elected. (If that even really happens any more).
