I had foot problems for years. Had a nasty bout of plantar fasciitis that lasted a year. I bought a pair of Xeros four years ago and haven't gone back.
My problem was wearing shoes.

The fivefingers feel awesome, but do not go unnoticed in normieland.
Something in between barefoot and pointy, maybe?

Hi my love 💕😘 #[1] I like everything you share related to feet or walking. The video is sharing the guy’s perspective of him living with scoliosis so he is talking abt all research that supports barefoot for his condition.
The video generalizes and fails to discuss that people come in all shapes and forms and with different health conditions.
1) Diabetes Peripheral Neuropathy: A person with type 2 diabetes should not be running or walking barefoot, a small injury or a minor infection lead to infection, gangrene or amputation of the foot or leg
2) Rheumatoid Diseases: there are several types of diseases that rheumatologists treat psoriasis, gout etc. unfortunately walking barefoot may be painful for psoriatic arthritis and may further knee pain or back pain
3) Obesity medicine: The guy in the video is fit and skinny but in medicine I’ve seen all types of people with various shapes and sizes and they’re all different with different needs. Running or walking barefoot for an obese person will cause knee and back problems sooner.
Getting the best shoe for your weight, height and doctor recommendations is important. Whenever I pick heels, I see, how much support does this heel have, for sneakers I use new balance brand, I think it just better for my feet size, weight and height. Choosing a shoe is different for each person but I’m glad you shared this video, I like talking medicine or science on nostr, it keeps me mentally happy 😊 I love you #[1]
Amen. I switched to huaraches after badly stubbing my pinky toe on a chair leg. With a toe in bad shape, I realized how tight the shoes are around them and made the switch to an open toe sandal.
I was able to walk barefoot without any pain whatsoever, but the adidas classic going over the top of my foot across the toes continued to cause light pain. The huarache though was basically being barefoot and I’ve been wearing them ever since.
Shoes feel like hooves now 😂
Mmm
But feet are so gross 😭
And foot prisons should be abolished
I'm so torn!
Haha. Cute painted lady toes FTW. Hairy man feet, ew…
Imo there's literally no such thing as a combination of cute and feet...
But earthing is Soooo good. 🫦
As a foot enthusiast, could you offer some insight, shed some light on what attracts people to feet? If you don't mind....
My interest stems mostly from AI having a hard time drawing toes and a weird game I played after getting attacked by North Korea…that said, looking at so many toes has definitely peaked my interest 🤷💋
ANYWAY…It’s not a fetish, but having your toes sucked is divine…it’s like a warm sensation that shoots up your legs
Well.... I'm not sure how to classify that. But I understand. It's like you don't go out of your way to find it, and you're not obsessed, but you sure as fuck ain't gonna turn that shit down if it just happens to be an option.
My innocent fragile little mind has been warped! 🥺😭
I wrote about this a while ago: https://twitter.com/aassoiants/status/1450287260893601795
For those interested in zero drop/ minimalist shoes - Earthrunners and Feelgrounds are incredible
For those of us who need more support, Altras Original Footshape products are fantastic https://www.altrarunning.com/shop/original-footshape
Idk about other sports but NFL players are extremely particular about shoes that are comfortable and fit well. A huge opponent might not take them down but a pair of shoes a half size too small will.
Yo intento cuidar mis pies & paso de ponerme tacones altos🪷
Parece fácil. Pero no lo es💖
Graciassss 💜
Interesting!
#[1] just buy a pair of these. Like Birkenstock for running. https://nostr.build/i/347284781450dc74ecb194cc74480e811ede3a5f9738e81b73650fd7756dee5d.webp
Heel raise and crazy amounts of dampening. Better stay barefoot and stack the sats instead
LeWtf is going in with LeToe?
Still trying to find earthrunners in Europe. Not easy, especially my size.
我一直坚持不穿鞋在跑步机跑步,我感觉良好
i'm always barefoot. 📿 i just literally walk in sneakers because i shattered my foot a decade ago; the tendons in my ankle are wobbly long-distance.
You roam around barefoot? I'm missing something here.
Nice! Fix your bowels next by putting the grains were the stupid pointy shoes went.
done
There was a time abt 10 yrs back or more when the US military banned barefoot shoes.
My best advice to prevent this is always to take off your shoes when not walking (sitting at restaurants, offices, at home, etc.). And when showering, always clean between your toes but MORE IMPORTANTLY dry between your toes and air dry your body by walking around a bit in a shower robe. I know to some of you, that seems like common sense. But believe me, a good majority of people don’t have robes and never wash and dry between their toes (An American told me)
So it was quite strange to teach others basic hygiene principles every once in a while.
I’m all in on this, I even have bareboot Oxfords
“Made from naturally scarred leather from free-roaming cattle, sourced from small scale farmers in Ethiopia.” 🇪🇹
Who is this guy?
What’s his website?
