Nostr is good at what it does, so long as you avoid the suckage of the toxic maxis and their shilling crap. Much like fedi in a way, just more tech-based and not ego-based.

The best thing about Nostr is the fact it's PD software; no matter how many trannies and faggots try to stink it up with shitty clients or pretty ones that intentionally make the experience worse, you can always use something else that is tailored to how you want to use it.
Same goes for relays, NIP-05 verifications, etc.
It's still possible to get fucked on a technical level on Nostr, but the results are nowhere near as catastrophic as it would be on the fediverse. Forking Nostr like Rebased was forked from Pleroma (and that from Mastodon) would be entirely redundant.

I don't believe that anything not Bitcoin is predisposed to be a scam, which most self-labelled "maxis" give vitriolic responses to when that opinion is verbally stated.
