Bitcoin can convert 95% of electrical energy into heat.

Let that sink in a moment.

How many uses of energy right now are just simply used to heat things?

And a S9 alone makes it cozy at home

If we want to be intellectually honest, heat pumps today can reach 300% to 400% efficiency or even higher, meaning they’re putting out three to four times as much energy in the form of heat as they’re using in electricity. Mining Bitcoin is not a cave enterprise anymore :)

1 electricity w = 3 heat watts with heat pumps if I read correctly.

Heat pumps aren’t effective below -27C or so. Lots of colder places can use miner heat.

For really places it is common to pump heat from the ground instead of air. That way air temperature is not a problem.

Miner waste heat is still a valuable resource but not a primary output.

Sure. Very true but heat pumps don’t have any secondary outputs the way that miners do.

It’s also a very unoptimized space that needs to be explored.

Costs, including the halving will trim that. Seen greenhouses, Spa's and general building heating already using the necessary by-product that comes from mining and that adds value to the miners. I don't need to be orange pilled ;)

What kind of energy exhaust is the other 5%? Shouldn‘t it more be like 99.999% heat and 0.001% LED light?

That’s a pretty useful data. In Peru, we have every year problems with heating in communities of the Andean region. And, in some cases, they’re next to places where you can generate energy. It’s not unusual in the traditional mining sector.

Isn't it 100%

1 Watt = 1 Watt

I don’t know. I’m just repeating something a miner told me.

What? Do you expect me to actually check my facts? đŸ˜
