Well, loyalty and honesty are absolutes. But care and respect are subjective, they depend on the perception of each person. I am still learning those. Probably too late, but anyway.
How can you be loyal to someone and have no respect for them?
It's that respect is subjective.
For example I would ask "do you want to do this with me?" and she says "yes", but sad and mentally praying that I understand that that's a "no".
I fucking understand YES. And so I act according to YES. Which ends up being disrespectful of her free will.
I have lost sensibility, became a machine, working on pure logic and nothing else. I used to understand those nuances. Not anymore.
It's not easy. A world of pain have turned me into a less sensible being.
I am sorry, but that's not respect...that's manipulation.
A No means a No, a Yes means a Yes. If someone says to you otherwise, you are being gaslightening. Stay away from toxic people. Authentic people won't play mind games.

I don't know your story, but we create defence mechanisms to operate in a "toxic" environment. Your sensitivity is still inside you, you have lost nothing. Your mind is doing tricks on you. I would advice you to get away and heal. Tell no one, just go, leave without warning. Abuse, is abuse. No one should go throught it.

Some people rely on unspoken communication more than other.
I lost that ability at some point and became less sensible. The world turned me into a different man.
Now it's too late. The only thing left is, ironically, good memories. The worst form of torture.
