I have started this project. a new minimal and easy to run custodial NWC wallet node.
will be using tigerbeetle for an indestructible accounting db. auditable.
extremely minimal attack surface. small cln plugin. you talk to it via lightning for the api.
accounts are anonymous, based on secp256k1 keys for privacy and no KYC.
NWC, zaps, lightning addresses, bolt12 ?
built in rust.
I'm done waiting for someone to build this.

as I read on the system architecture , Tiger Beetle doesn't support authentifications so untrusted user should hands off from the Tiger . the problem is how to verify user are trust worthy or not to interact with tiger beetle ? thoughts ?
users are not interacting with tigerbeetle directly
Of course yes , the bookkeeper or person in charged probably interact with it .
The hardware probably something like this using NVMe drives and no requirement for RAID ( redundant array of independent disk )

Have you thought about using Liquid to make the wallet actually non custodian while keeping the simplicity?
Amounts under 10000 sats could be kept in the custodial wallet, and as soon as it reaches the threshold it reverse submaribes to a liquid wallet where you only have an xpub, while the seed is up on nostr nip44 encrypted.
