I hosted a taco party tonight. I nearly caused a big fire, but we got it under control and the tacos turned out amazing in the end. My notoriously drunk friend started singing in Aramaic. People left pretty quickly after that. Now it's quiet & I'm tired. The sky is really pretty right now. I hope your day has been all that you've wanted it to be.

How did you start the fire?!
Its my own damn fault. I have a gravity-fed charcoal grill that I haven't cleaned in a while. I changed out the grates for a flat-top to grill the tacos. I guess that trapped the excess heat & the drip tray ignited. Then every speck of grease caught fire & before long the whole grill box was burning and dripping flames on the patio. Fortunately, I had a bucket of sand nearby & there was a bold 18 year old over, who had pair of leather gloves with him. He pulled off the griddle & we were able to dump sand over everything. I grilled inside after that. 😅

😂 I keep strange company. He's a cool guy, though he's constantly drunk & barely a step above the crazy homeless person cliché. He's hyper-intelligent, a talented artist, and a skilled bushcrafter but whiskey gets in the way of making anything of it.
