The government is truly lower than scum. Scum serves a biological purpose. Apparently the EPA is there to greenlight carcinogens and scrutinize charcoal.

The EPA is who shut down my dad's business. They sent us a form two days after it was due, then fined us $135k (in 1988) for submitting it late.
All of the other companies that were required to fill out this 1"-2" thick form had 3-4 months to complete it. Over 90% of them submitted forms with errors. Our company completed it in less than a month with no errors.
The EPA admitted to my dad's business partner that we were targeted so they could "appear to be doing their job for the new President". We contacted our Congressman, who said he would help, then we heard crickets.
Over a hundred local families that depended on Marlin Boats had to find new income in an area already experiencing a depressed economy. I'm sure some of our representatives and retailers suffered too.
