Has anyone tried red light therapy? Is it real? Does it work?

I have a unit from GambaRed. Great stuff

What do you use it for?

For when it’s cloudy days. I usually get out in the sun but having a unit is great for winter time. More info if you wanna dive deeper https://gembared.com/blogs/musings/does-sunlight-provide-red-light-therapy-photobiomodulation-from-the-sun-explained

My wife does it. I don't think it does anything.

I use TDP mineral lamp

Why not just spend more time outdoors?

Red light district therapy?

Sleeping in nearly absolute darkness therapy works.

Unplug, (or cover with thick adhesives) anything that glows when you turn the lights off. If you live within 30 miles of a streetlight, blackout your windows at night.

I don't know if light pollution causes lunacy, but darkness and deep rest are companions.

Whelp...

Clinical red light therapy uses low power lasers.

Home units are made with LEDs.

Most (if not all) studies have been done with very small groups.

Research is almost always stated as "on going"

It's been suggested for everything from joint pain to weight loss and Androgenic Alopecia (genetic disorder causing hair loss).

I would be very skeptical.

And I used it on my mom’s knee. Yes. It works. The ones that have infrared and pulse like 10x a second work best.
