If I had my way I would have shot down all of my LED lights with a shotgun a long time ago. I cant fucking stand the non stop flickering that hardly anyone else is capable of physically noticing. Instead I have to progressively change them all out over time.

the reds and greens are not so bad but blues give me nightmares... yes, greens are bright, but blues literally do wake me up, and it's like being yelled at for me, and i am also extremely traumatised by being yelled at
no i was not in the army, i just been through multiple abusive relationships starting from when i was born
i generally put black insulation tape over all the leds i have on everything, sometimes not on reds but almost always on greens and always on blues
i can't believe anyone still puts blues in shit, ffs the number of studies that have shown it has a sleep disrupting effect... and like, literally, this shitty modem in the corner of my room... it defaults to no flickering GREEN lights and you have to press a button to make it temporarily show the state of its lights, of which one or two flicker by network traffic
and here's the thing
on the other hand, the most important flickering lights that used to be there, was USB sticks, now, none have lights on them
ok, some drive enclosures still have them, usually blue, unfortunately, but none of the "thumb drives" have lights on them so you don't even know if they are fucking reading
so, i got major traumas about these fucking little lights, when they are not plain old fucking red or green
and honestly, idk what was wrong with the old kind orange neon power indicator lights, they never hurt anyone
